RHONY: Ramona Singer branded ‘morally bankrupt’ as she’s accused of LYING about donating plasma

Ramona Singer’s co-stars branded her ‘morally bankrupt’ after they accused her of lying about donating plasma following her Covid-19 diagnosis.

The 64-year-old reality star was taken to task by newcomer Eboni K. Williams and Leah McSweeney in heated scenes from last night’s episode of Real Housewives of New York.

It all kicked off during a visit to – where else but a winery – when Ramona was challenged by Leah, 38, for claiming that she donated her blood plasma after testing positive for coronavirus.

Leah referenced a DailyMail.com article in which Ramona revealed that she and her daughter Avery had donated their blood plasma.

Good question: A producer asked Ramona if she donated plasma and she said that she had

‘I got tested and I had strong antibodies,’ Ramona deflected as Leah accused her of lying.

Poking holes in her story, with Eboni by her side, Leah challenged her: ‘Did you really though?’

Defending herself, Ramona claimed that health workers had taken her blood, but Leah highlighted that in order to complete the process of a plasma donation, you would need to have your blood take multiple times, not just once.

As the argument went on, more housewives became suspicious, but Ramona stuck to her guns and her story.

At one point during the heated exchange, Ramona was heard being called ‘morally bankrupt’ as she scrambled to tell her side of the story.

The episode titled A High Rate of Interest also featured Eboni confronting Ramona after overhearing her misidentifying her staffers and referring to them as ‘the help’.

Eboni earlier told Luann about her discomfort with Ramona using the term.

‘I don’t want to sound like I’m trying to beat up on Ramona,’ Eboni said. ‘[My grandmother] worked her entire life as a domestic, she worked for white families, she kept their children, she cooked their food — she ran the house. But it wasn’t seen that way, it was seen that way, it was seen as she was the help.”

Privately, Eboni said she was looking for a peaceful resolution.

‘I don’t want to look at Ramona sideways. I’m in her home. I wanna hopefully get to enjoy this group of women, but I need to talk to Ramona about this, get her to explain exactly what the hell’s going on here. I can figure out, you know, can we move forward in a real friendship,’ Eboni said in a confessional.

She decided to wait until they were at the winery before bringing it up with Ramona.

‘The ”help” comment was a little triggering for me,’ Eboni said before sharing the story of her grandmother. ‘Do you know why ”the help” is not the best way to refer to somebody?’

Ramona deftly explained that she meant no offense and used the word in the literal sense.

‘I hire people to help me so to me, she helps me,’ she said.

‘I think historically in our country, the ”help” can make people feel devalued. It’s all good. I didn’t want to not say it to you,’ Eboni told her.

Ramona afterward praised Eboni for how she approached the matter.

‘I love the fact that Eboni, in a non-condescending way, is explaining to me the reason why that word isn’t cool. I get it. I’m not stupid, but sometimes I have a slip of the tongue,’ Ramona said.
