Riverdale star Cole Sprouse has just lined up his next film role.
The 28-year-old actor is set to star in the upcoming science fiction romantic comedy Moonshot.
He will headline the movie alongside To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before breakout Lana Condor, 23, for streaming platform HBO Max.

The romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist is set in a future where Mars is terraformed and colonized by the best humanity has to offer, according to Deadline.
The story will follow two very different college students wind up joining forces and sneak onboard a space shuttle to the red planet in order to be united with their significant others.

It was announced that Lana will be playing Sophie in the film back in June of last year.
‘She is a woman with a plan — or at least, she was before her boyfriend Calvin moved to Mars, and she decided to go after him,’ said The Hollywood Reporter.

Sprouse’s Riverdale executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will produce through Berlanti/Schechter Films along with Jill McElroy and Jenna Sarkin of Entertainment 360.
The former Disney Channel star is currently deep in production on the fifth season of the hit CW drama series in Vancouver.
Cole has been getting close to Montreal-based model Ari Fournier, 22, since ending things with co-star Lili Reinhart last year, having been spotted showing PDA as they walked the Canadian streets together.

Sprouse also recently announced a production deal with film studio Lionsgate after producing the thriller podcast Borrasca for QCode this past spring.
