Robert Irwin shares a rarely seen family photo after 17th birthday

Robert Irwin celebrated his 17th birthday earlier this month.

And on Tuesday, the wildlife warrior looked all grown up as he spent time with his family and friends at Australia Zoo.

Posting to Instagram, Robert showed himself surrounded by mother Terri, sister Bindi, 22, and brother-in-law Chandler Powell, along with zoo employees.

‘Good times,’ Robert captioned the cheery snap. 

Bindi, who is pregnant with her first child, was pictured standing next to Chandler with her bump hidden beneath a black T-shirt. 

Terri meanwhile showcased her age-defying visage as she proudly posed next to her son. 

It comes after Robert celebrated his 17th birthday earlier this month. 

To mark the occasion, the wildlife photographer spent the day at Australia Zoo in Queensland with his mother, Terri.

The pair were all smiles as they unveiled the zoo’s new statues of the extinct Australian marsupial, the Diprotodon.

The mother-son duo posed for several photos while unveiling the Diprotodon statues, and also spoke to several media outlets. 

Robert – who is the spitting image of his late father, Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin – was dressed in Australia Zoo’s signature khaki uniform.   

Steve Irwin died in September 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.
