An 81-year-old Italian husband has been spotted serenading his wife from outside her hospital window after coronavirus restrictions stopped him from seeing her.
Heartwarming footage shows romantic Stefano Bozzini playing his accordion from the street below.
Carla Sacchi, his wife of 47 years, can be seen watching her beloved husband from a second-floor window of the hospital in Castel San Giovanni, a town in North Italy.

Stefano played a series of love songs to his wife, including a rendition of ‘Spanish Eyes’ by Engelbert Humperdinck
Stefano, sitting on a chair in the empty street, played a series of love songs on his accordion, including some of his wife’s favourites.
He opened his rendition with ‘Spanish Eyes’ by Engelbert Humperdinck, and ended his serenade by looking up at his wife and waving.
Stefano, wearing a face mask, a feather hat and a red jumper, played whilst his wife and two others – all wearing face coverings – watched from above. One woman, mesmerised by the beautiful moment, can be seen with her head resting on her head.
The hospital does not treat patients with coronavirus, but visitors are not allowed to enter the building due to restrictions aimed at reducing the spread of the virus.
The couple have been married since 1973 and Stefano learned to play the accordion on his own, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.
Stefano is a retired member of the Italian army’s Alpini mountain infantry and the hat he wears in the video is part of their uniform.
His nickname in the unit was ‘Gianni Morandi of the Alpines’ because he was always playing the accordion.
‘It was sunny, I would have played again, all day,’ Stefano told ANSA. The emotional tale has since gone viral on social media.
