Ryan Phillippe announces he’ll live stream acting scenes ‘2-3 hours every day’ amid COVID-19

With all his productions in limbo due to coronavirus, two-time SAG Award winner Ryan Phillippe announced Wednesday that he would start ‘doing a little live acting’ from his home.

‘While we’re all shut in. Y’know, a little drama, a little comedy. Like 2-3 hours everyday,’ the 45-year-old self-described ‘spoiled quarantined king’ tweeted on Wednesday.

‘To help us through this time where acting is on hold…So, if you like movies or [TV] catch my stream!’

When Twitter user Manchild requested he re-enact the opening scene from 2000 flick The Way of the Gun where he punches out Sarah Silverman, Phillippe exclaimed: ‘Might get me cancelled!’

However, Ryan replied ‘1000%’ to Twitter user Carson Fentz’s request to recreate the scene from his 2001 thriller Antitrust where he ‘hacked the child LEGO computer.’

And when Twitter user Justin Gaynor asked the Will & Grace guest star if he was good at doing impressions, he revealed he has ‘a killer Mae West [I’ve] been [sitting] on.’

It’s unclear if Phillippe was actually being serious about ‘#CatchMyStream’ to his 1M Twitter/Instagram followers, but he was comforted by the ‘new LaCroix flavors’ when he stocked up at the store.

The COVID-19 quarantine would be a great chance for Ryan (born Matthew) to bond with his son Deacon, 16; and daughter Ava, 20; from his seven-year marriage to Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon, which ended in 2008.

The MDL Beast promoter also has an eight-year-old daughter Kailani ‘Kai’ Merizalde from his five-month fling with Pitch Perfect alum Alexis Knapp back in 2010.

Phillippe had been filming Justin Long’s directorial debut Lady of the Manor in Florida as recent as last month.

Ryan’s latest film The Sound of Philadelphia was set to have its world premiere April 19 at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival, but organizers postponed the fest on March 12 due to the global pandemic.

Jérémie Guez’s Irish mafia flick – based on Pete Dexter’s 1991 novel Brotherly Love – also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Joel Kinnaman, Maika Monroe, and Paul Schneider.
