Sally Phillips revealed her disabled son Olly, who has Down syndrome, has gotten his first job as part of inclusive tournament Cadbury’s Hero League.

The Bridget Jones Diary star, 51, took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce the good news by first posting a photo alongside her little one as they held up PS4 controllers, before she shared videos talking with him about it.

Sally, who shares her son with ex-husband Andrew Bermejo, wrote alongside the snap: ‘We have news! Olly has got his first (and dream) job… more later!’

Then in the video, Sally looked around her living room before Olly popped up behind her to shout in delight: ‘I got a job! I got my first job!’

Sally, ever the doting mother, gushed to her smiling son: ‘Congratulations! What is it, is it a good job?’

Olly said it was, as he revealed he was set to play Street Fighter on the PS4, as he said his mum would be joining him in the tournament.

‘I’ll teach you,’ Olly told her in delight, as she said ‘I don’t think I’ll be very good at it’ and he added: ‘Apparently it’s really hard to play on the PS4.’

Sally asked who he thought would win the match, her or him, and he joked: ‘Well, if it’s me you have to give me £200.’

As well as Olly, the actress shares sons Tom and Luke with her ex-husband who she split with in 2017 after 14 years together.
