Actor Sam Worthington kept things decidedly casual on Tuesday as he stepped out in Bondi Beach, Sydney.

The Avatar star, 44, cut a relaxed figure in an oversized black hoodie and matching pants while on a morning stroll.

He completed his look with white sneakers, dark sunglasses and a black cap, and styled his hair in a ponytail.

Sam appears to be taking some time off after finishing his run in the Sydney Theatre Company production of the black comedy Appropriate.

The Wesley Enoch-directed play, written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, ran at the Roslyn Packer Theatre from March 15 to April 10.

He is also involved in the ABC series Fires, about last year’s devastating bushfire season, which started filming this month in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Sam reportedly wrapped filming the Avatar sequels in New Zealand late last year.

After living in LA and New York for years, Sam and his wife, model Lara Worthington (née Bingle), returned to Sydney several months ago.

They are joined by their three sons, Rocket, five, Racer, four, and River, ten months.

While Sam focuses on TV and theatre projects, 33-year-old Lara is doing various modelling jobs in Australia, including a recent campaign for Seafolly.

Earlier this month, Lara said her sole focus was on her family and children since settling Down Under in January.

‘At this stage of my life, with my sons as the total priority, I’m focused on wellbeing, motherhood and taking care of my family,’ she told Body + Soul.
