And the 44-year-old journalist couldn’t help but gush over her husband-to-be at Channel Seven’s Upfronts presentation on Wednesday.
Chatting to Farmer Wants a Wife host Natalie Gruzlewski about the 2021 season of the popular dating show, Sam opened up about her own relationship.

‘I can confirm that my Mr Right is a country boy,’ Sam said via video link.
Referencing how successful Farmer Wants a Wife has been at making lasting relationships, she added: ‘Sounds like I might not be the only one marrying a farmer!’
Earlier this month, Richard admitted he fell for Sam the first time he laid eyes on her.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph at the Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch in Sydney, which the newly engaged pair attended together, the equestrian businessman was not shy about his feelings for the breakfast TV star.
‘It was immediate. This sounds really stupid but I thought “gee whiz, I like that girl” from the moment I first saw her,’ he said.
Richard went on to say he had no idea Sam was a TV star when they first met.

‘I had no idea what she did or anything like that, which was probably a plus. You know when you meet someone and you feel comfortable,’ he said.
The couple, who reportedly began dating in April 2019, confirmed their romance in an interview with WHO magazine November.
They announced their engagement in late June.
