EXCLUSIVE: Scarlett Moffatt and Jacqueline Jossa team up for Celebrity Supermarket Sweep… as the likes of Megan McKenna and Frankie Bridge also sign on to ransack the aisles

Queens of the jungle Scarlett Moffatt and Jacqueline Jossa have teamed up for the new celebrity edition of Supermarket Sweep as it returns this autumn.

Rylan Clark-Neal is back – with Jennie McAlpine on the tannoy – to guide a new set of shoppers as they ransack the aisles on the reboot of the classic show, made famous by the late Dale Winton.

The new series contains six celebrity specials with other pairs including married couple Wayne and Frankie Bridge, former X Factor Celebrity contestants Megan McKenna and Jenny Ryan, Diversity dancers Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, presenters Joel Dommett and Denise Van Outen, JLS stars JB Gill and Aston Merrygold and father/son duo Martin and Roman Kemp.

Airing this time on ITV during a daytime slot, the main series will air stripped across weekdays, to be followed by six celebrity specials airing later in the year.

Other famous faces include Martine McCutcheon and Jack McManus, Gabby and Kenny Logan, Joe Swash and Radzi Chinyanganya and Melanie Walters and Joanna Page.

Football stars John Barnes and David Seaman will also team up, as will Harry Redknapp and Paul Merson.

Birds Of A Feather actresses Lesley Joseph and Linda Robson will reunite and Andrea McLean and Nadia Sawalha of Loose Women will be set free in the aisles.

EastEnders’ Rita Simons and Chizzy Akudolu will appear, and real-life Emmerdale couple Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden will take some time away from their three kids to take part.

Rounding off the list are Radio 1 duo Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom.

Supermarket giant Tesco helped to revive the classic show last year, as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations, and is teaming up with the programme again, so that viewers can enjoy watching a whole new set of shoppers put their shopping skills to the ultimate test.

When the supermarket extravaganza returns, Coronation Street actress and comedian Jennie will once again be lending her voice to the store tannoy, making those all-important announcements and keeping track of the shoppers’ antics.

She will also be making frequent trips to join Rylan on the shop floor – interacting with shoppers and offering her assistance where required.

She said: ‘Getting to help out in Rylan’s supermarket last year was a dream. I had so much fun. It’s an absolute joy to be heading back for more dashing round the aisles and pick and mix!’
