Scott Caan wore a protective face mask and latex gloves as he picked up groceries in Calabasas, Los Angeles on Sunday, amid the coronavirus lockdown.

The Hawaii Five-0 actor, 43, took precautions as he donned a white and black mask and white gloves for the errand to pick up essentials.

The star kept it casual for his outing, clad in a navy denim shirt and grey top, paired with stonewash jeans and silver trainers.

He completed his ensemble with a slate grey woollen hat as he stepped out.

The star looked focused as he picked up some groceries from Erewhon Organic Grocers and headed home.

A stay-at-home order is currently in place across the state of California amid the pandemic – the order went into effect on March 19 and will stay in place until at least May.

In February it was announced that the reboot of Hawaii Five-O was coming to an end this year after 10 successful seasons.

CBS pulled the plug on the show, in part, because co-star Alex O’Loughlin decided he could not go beyond the current season due to a shoulder injury he suffered a number of years ago.

The popular action crime drama series will wrap its 240-episode run with a two-hour series finale on Friday, April 3 with original stars O’Loughlin as Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett and Scott as Detective Sergeant Danno Williams.

There had been speculation that O’Loughlin would leave the show a couple of years ago but he stayed on after receiving ‘stem cell treatment,’ according to Deadline.

Apparently the pain became too much in more recent times and he decided to step down when his contract ended after the tenth season.

CBS reportedly weighed whether to replace him and give Caan’s Danno a new partner, but ultimately the network decided it was time to end the series.

‘This show has been pretty much every waking moment for the last 10 years of my life,’ O’Loughlin, 43, said in a statement.

‘Everywhere I go on this planet, in every language, I am McGarrett to all these people. What we’ve done, what we’ve accomplished, it’s extraordinary. I can’t really put words to express my level of gratitude. I’m just glad to have been a part of this, a part of history and I’m going to miss it,’ he said.

He concluded with a nod of respect to the fans: ‘I don’t know how to thank you guys. Thank you for following us the way you have. I’m going to miss you. Aloha.’

The reimagining of Leonard Freeman’s classic series (1968-1980) by Peter M. Lankov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci has gotten solid ratings over of the years that resulted in it being a consistent moneymaker for CBS.
