Selena Gomez bundles up in an oversized brown puffer as she heads to set in NYC

Selena Gomez ensured maximum warmth by packing on the layers to film Hulu’s upcoming series Only Murders In The Building.

On Thursday evening the 28-year-old singer headed to a nighttime shoot in NYC, sporting an oversized brown puffer jacket and UGG boots.

Waiting for her at the hotel post-shoot was a sweet surprise from her friends to celebrate the release of her Spanish-language album Revelación which dropped Friday.

Gomez kept it casual in a black hoodie and matching leggings underneath the camel-colored jacket.

She tucked her hand into her pocket as she strolled to the set of the project which also stars comedy vets Martin Short, 70, and Steve Martin, 75.

Upon wrapping she was treated to gold Mylar balloons that spelled out ‘Revelación’ in her hotel room, sharing her reaction with her 215M Instagram fans.

‘So, I come back from set and I see this in my room,’ she said while panning to the gold balloons.

‘It says Revelacion. I’m so, so excited. My best friends did this for me, I’m here by myself,’ she explained while calling it ‘the coolest thing.’

Speaking about the seven-song EP she continued: ‘I hope you guys like the album and have so much fun with it. Obviously, I’ve been wanting to do this for so, so long. And I’m so grateful and it’s my first Spanish album and it’s something that I’ve wanted to do for 10 years.’

She added, ‘I hope you guys like it,’ asking her fans to let her know their thoughts while gushing, ‘I’m just so happy.’

Gomez announced the release of the album in late January after releasing two tracks De Una Vez and Baila Conmigo.

Additional tracks on the album include Selfish Love with DJ Snake, Buscando Amor, Vicio, Adiós and Dámelo To.

Thursday she shared a snap with DJ Snake — her collaborator on Selfish Love — and gushed ‘Thank you my friend, you are a gift.’

Fans had speculated that the album was coming when murals with her name began appearing in Sayulita, Mexico in mid January.

Despite the exciting release, Gomez shocked fans in a recent Vogue interview when she spoke about retiring from music to focus on producing and acting.

‘It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously,’ she shared.

‘I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music,’ she shared.

Her last studio album Rare was released in January 2020, its lead single Lose You To Love Me becoming her first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Despite it being what she considers ‘the best song I’ve ever released,’ she spoke about feeling like it wasn’t enough for some people, prompting her to ask herself, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’
