News of the pair’s settlement comes over a year after Hartley, 43, famously filed for divorce from Chrishell, which came as a total surprise to the 39-year-old Selling Sunset star.

The This Is Us actor cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce filing and claimed he and Chrishell had been separated since July 8, 2019, despite the pair being seen together on several occasions after that specific date.

In her response filing, Stause listed the ‘date of separation’ as November 22, 2019, which contradicted the July separation stated by Hartley.

On her Netflix reality series, the Days of Our Lives actress claimed Justin informed her of his intent to divorce via test message, just 45 minutes before the heartbreaking news was made public.

‘I found out because he text[ed] me that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew,’ said Chrishell as she recalled the devastation on the second season of Selling Sunset.

She went on to stress that ‘forty-five minutes’ was not enough time to prepare for the onslaught of questions they were bound to receive from their mutual fans.

‘Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers, and I f***ing want answers. I know people are saying we were only married two years, but it’s like, we were together for six years,’ she explained passionately.

She also referred to Justin’s divorce filing as an ‘impulsive’ decision and that he would often use the same ‘I’m out’ approach during fights they had in the past.

‘In a fight, that’s [Justin’s] go-to, you know? Like, “I’m out, I’m out.” I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought, you know, that’s just an issue that we work through it.

‘If that’s really what you wanted, there are better ways to go about [it]. I talked to him right after because I thought that must be a joke, but that was kind of the end of the communication.

‘What am I supposed to say? What do you say after that? It’s like, now I have to find a place to live. Now I have to scramble and figure this out, you know?’ she concluded.
