She’s back! Megan McKenna looks comfy and casual as she records her new album

She caused a flurry of excitement when she announced the release of her latest country track, This, at the start of the month.

And Megan McKenna looked comfortable when she left the Sarm Music Village in West London on Wednesday.

The Everything but You singer, 28, kept things casual for the overcast weather in grey lounge-wear and trainers.

The TOWIE cast member wore her chestnut locks in a cute half-up-half-down style.

Despite the miserable weather, Megan boasted an enviable golden spray-tan that kept her looking sun kissed on the wintery afternoon.

Megan recently announced her latest track This would be released on Friday.

Taking to Instagram to alert her fans the singer wrote: ‘My track This will be released on 19th February… Thank you all so much for being patient, it’s an amazing feeling to finally be releasing music… it’s just the beginning…’

Eager to share her music with the world, the TOWIE star then returned to social media again on Tuesday to say: ‘Can it be Friday already ugh.’

In February of last year, Megan jetted off to Nashville, Tennessee, to work on a second studio album, two months after winning The X Factor: Celebrity.

She had also been slated to support legendary musician Lionel Richie on the British leg of his tour, which had been scheduled to kick off this year.

However, the impending COVID-19 pandemic all but destroyed her hopes of releasing new music last year, or supporting Lionel on tour.

In December 2018, Megan achieved success with the release of her debut album Story Of Me, which peaked at number four on the UK Country Chart.

She documented her foray into the country music world in her 2017 documentary There’s Something About Megan.

Back in 2017, she told MailOnline: ‘You guys have just seen me on telly [on TOWIE] losing it, going mad when I’ve had a break up.

‘But no one saw the softer side of me with the break up, and I wanted to put that in the song. I really feel like it was a good way of explaining it.’

Discussing her new foray into country music, Megan revealed she was worried about how the public may perceive her.

She said: ‘I think people in the UK have seen me going on all these different shows, and I think they think “Oh, she just wants to be a singer all of a sudden”.

‘But this is something I’ve wanted my whole life. This is gonna make people realise that I’ve worked my whole life for this.’

And Megan is nothing but grateful for the opportunities she’s earned in the music business.

While on a trip to Malibu to share her music with the mogul Simon Cowell last year, she told fans: ‘Every little part of my life has lead up to a trip like this… writing every day with incredible people, recording in the hills and meetings in Malibu!’

‘I’ve worked so hard to live in moments like these, and like the lyric says in my song, “Out Of A Hundred No’s, You Only Need One Yes!” See you reallll soon LA. #albummode #dreambigdreams,’ she wrote.

Despite Megan’s success, The X Factor will not return to screens until 2022 at the very earliest and will be replaced by the celebrity show All Star Musicals.

The X Factor was halted this year when hit, rendering it impossible to produce the show, which involves mass gatherings for open public auditions.

But All Star Musicals will reportedly return for a third series this year instead, and will see celebrities training in musical theatre before a debut performance.

It has been claimed that I’m A Celebrity’s John Barrowman, 53, will return to host the celebrity show, with singer Elaine Paige, 72, reclaiming her role as a judge.

All Stars Musicals last aired in 2019 as a ‘one-off special’ and featured seven celebrities, including Alan Titchmarsh, Martin Lewis and Tessa Peak.

The extravaganza saw the hopefuls train in musical theatre before performing at the London Palladium to an audience and a panel of judges, in the hope of being crowned All Star Musicals champion.
