Simon Pryce and Lauren Hannaford recently revealed they were expecting their first child together, a baby boy.

And it appears the soon-to-be parents weren’t going to let Sydney’s record-breaking heatwave get in the way of celebrating their exciting news.

The Red Wiggle, 48, and his fitness entrepreneur wife, 34, hosted a lavish baby shower at Sydney’s Centennial Parklands on Saturday.

In one of the photos, Lauren flaunted her burgeoning baby bump surrounded by a lush array of floral decorations.

The excited couple were seen posing by a decorated cake which featured the words ‘Oh Baby’ and blue coloured individually wrapped biscuits.

The blonde beauty opted for comfort in a purple coloured tie dye dress and sandals.

Meanwhile, her husband, Simon, opted for a casual ensemble wearing a plain white Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt, and khaki coloured shorts.

The lavish event was attended by close friends including Beau Ryan and his wife Kara, and the couple’s publicist, Bec Brown.

Several other photographs, which appeared to be taken by guests, showed the bespoke setup, which included bouquets of flowers, stylish charcuterie boards and platters, cookies, and celebratory champagne.

The elaborate affair comes after Simon and Lauren announced they were expecting a baby boy in a heartwarming gender reveal Instagram post.

The Wiggles star, joined Lauren, both holding the knife, as they cut through a cupcake, before they saw that the inside was blue – meaning they are having a boy. 

The delighted duo could not keep their smiles off their faces, hugging and kissing once the results were revealed.

The happy couple announced they’re expecting their first child on Father’s Day, last month. 

‘Lauren and I are beyond excited and overjoyed to be expecting our first baby in early 2021,’ Simon wrote on Instagram.

‘I already feel like I’m bursting with love. I think Lauren will be happy when it’s born so I stop talking to her stomach, especially when we are in the supermarket aisle.’  

He concluded by adding: ‘Happy Father’s Day to me. Well not quite yet but soon. #BabyPryce #2021’.
