Singer Cody Simpson ramps up his training for the 2024 Paris Olympics as he swims laps in Spain
He’s preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
And musician-turned-competitive swimmer Cody Simpson is taking his regime to the next level by relocating his training to Spain.
The aspiring Olympian, 24, is staying Adeje, a town on the island of Tenerife, and documented one of his training sessions on Instagram on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old shared a video of himself doing laps in a swimming pool, propelling himself forward using the butterfly stroke.
His followers went wild over the training update, and many encouraged him by leaving positive comments and applause emojis.
‘Keep those eyes on the prize,’ one wrote, as another added: ‘Looking good, mate.’

It comes after Cody flaunted his athletic physique on Instagram on March 9, as he shared a glimpse into one of his intense workouts.
The La Da Dee hitmaker uploaded a video of himself training his upper body in a session he described as a ‘burnout’.
‘If you want to take the island, burn your boats,’ he captioned the post on Instagram.

Cody is well on his way to Olympic glory, as he trains for his dream of winning a gold medal in the 100m butterfly at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Despite his pop-star status, Cody’s passion for swimming has been recognised by his idols Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe.
He qualified for the Olympic trials by swimming the 100m butterfly in 54.9 seconds in December, easily beating the qualifying benchmark of 56.87.
