Sofia Vergara and husband Joe Manganiello spend $26 million on LA mansion

Sofia Vergara and husband Joe Manganiello have forked out a staggering $26 million (£20.3 million) on a new mansion in Los Angeles’ richest community, Beverly Park. 

The couple’s new Tuscan-style abode, which was built in 1999, has an impressive six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, 17,000 square feet of space and two acres of land.  

Sofia, 47, and Joe, 43, have plenty of luxuries in the mansion including a two-story guesthouse, home cinema and pool-side cabana.

The Modern Family star and Magic Mike actor can expect plenty of privacy as Beverly Park is a guard-gated community in the mountains above Beverly Hills.  

Sofia and Joe’s new neighbours are said to include the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy. 

The couple reportedly managed to knock $4 million (£3.1 million) off the original asking price after billionaire Diana Chen listed it for $30 million (£23.4 million), the businesswoman still managed to make a $3 million (£2.3 million) profit reports Variety.

Sofia and Joe’s new property has a Tuscan-theme with the gardens said to be inspired by Italy as the land boasts olive trees, manicured green lawns and stunning stone fountains. 

The outdoor area also has a Grecian-inspired swimming pool with its own cabana and hot tub, tennis courts and outdoor kitchen with its own wet bar. 

Sofia and Joe have the option to eat al fresco as the abode has its own seating and dining area in the grounds adorned by marble pillars, chandeliers and water fountains.

And the luxuries don’t stop inside the property as the home is made up of marble floors, open staircases, archways, chandeliers and pillars.

The state-of-the-art kitchen has marble counter tops, a gold cooker and wood beams on the ceiling.

While the dining room has a 12 seater dining table with the room decorated with crystal chandeliers, glass display cabinets and statement windows.

The sitting room follows the lavish theme with marble floors, pillars, glass wooden doors going out into the grounds, its own Art Deco wet bar area and a grande fireplace.

Sofia and Joe have plenty of rooms to keep themselves entertained as one part of the mansion has its own home cinema with 12 leather recliner seats, its own screen curtain, Tuscan-inspired wall painting, pillars and a sky painted proscenium. 

The active couple also have a private gym with mirrored walls to keep active as well as their home’s swimming pool.     

The property was previously owned by former baseball player Barry Bonds, who extensively renovated the property while living there from 2002 until 2014.

Sofia currently lives in another Tuscan-style property just two miles away from her new home, she is said to have purchased the home for $10.6 million (38.3 million) in 2014, reports Variety.

The star was named as one of the highest paid TV actresses in 2019 thanks to her role on Modern Family. 

Sofia, who played the role of Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the acclaimed series, finally said goodbye to the part in April after more than a decade on US television. 

The four-time Golden Globe nominee made an impressive $500,000 (£399,000) per episode to play the lovable housewife.

Sofia was named as the highest paid TV actress in 2019, racking in an impressive $44.1 million (£35.2 million), according to Forbes. 

The star also secured the post in 2018 with an impressive $42.5 million (£33.9 million).  

Sofia has also worked with a number of clothing brands including Dolce & Gabbana and Walmart. She has recently joined America’s Got Talent as a judge.
