Stacey Solomon fires back at mom-shamers who accuse her of hiding the ‘reality’ of parenting

She frequently impresses her Instagram fans with her home craft tutorials and loving family snaps.

But Stacey Solomon hit back at some of her followers on Wednesday as they accused her of concealing the reality of raising a toddler, as she posted a smiley snap of her son, Rex.

The mother-of-three, 30, defended her uploads and said she is ‘extremely grateful’ that her 19-month-old ‘rarely cries,’ as she believes she shouldn’t shamed for celebrating that.

Backlash: Stacey Solomon hit back at some Instagram followers on Wednesday as they accused her of concealing the reality of raising a toddler, as she posted a smiley snap of her son Rex

She uploaded an adorable photo of Rex in a grey top while playing with bath bombs.

In an accompanying message, she shared a screenshot of a comment from a follower that read: ‘You always upload videos of your son Rex smiling and laughing! Why do you never show the reality of what it’s really like having a toddler?’

Stacey responded in a lengthy post: ‘I get messages like this quite often but I’ve seen a few today for some reason…’

‘He’s just a smiley boy. It’s just who he is. We’ve done nothing special. We haven’t sent him to smiley classes or anything.

Stand her ground: The TV presenter, 30, defended her uploads and said she is 'extremely grateful' that her 19-month-old 'rarely cries,' and she shouldn't shamed for celebrating that

‘The thing is, he rarely cries, and when he does, the last thing I’m going to do is get my phone out and take a picture or video.’

While Stacey admitted that Rex sometimes has his moments, she said that she and her partner, Joe Swash, are extremely thankful for their joyful son.

She continued: ‘But genuinely, when I look at him or talk to him or do anything, if I’m honest, he just cracks up laughing. And we love him for it and we are extremely grateful.

‘He has an enthusiasm for life that we can’t get enough of and we can’t take the credit, he was born like it. ‘

Her reality: She uploaded a series of adorable snaps of Rex playing with bathbombs and penned: 'Just a little note to say... indirectly shaming a parent in any way is just the worst'

Stacey shares Rex with her partner Joe, 38, and she is also the mother to Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, from previous relationships.

She cited that all of her children have different personalities and it is cruel for anybody to question her parenting.

The Loose Women panellist added: ‘But just a little note to say… indirectly shaming a parent in any way is just the worst.

‘Making them wonder if them or their child is “normal” is just cruel. EVERY child is different I have 3, NONE the same.

‘So they are who they are and all parents are just doing their absolute best to love them unconditionally and that is all’.

Stacey uploaded an additional series of Rex photos as he played at the side of their bathtub and beamed.

The TV presenter gave another insight into her ‘reality’ with a toddler as she continued to dismiss the indirect shaming.

She wrote of Rex’s personality on the smiling snaps: ‘Cheeky, pulls the cupboards apart, climbs on EVERYTHING… Has no fear and gives me a mini heart attack on a daily basis…

‘But for the most part this face is our reality… And everyone’s “reality” is different. So you just do you and don’t worry if it’s the opposite of what someone thinks is “right” or “normal” or what “everyone else is doing”.

Stacey concluded: ‘It’s just you and that’s perfect,’ accompanied by a blue heart emoji.
