Strictly’s Janette Manrara joins Jamie Laing and HRVY heading to rehearsals

They wowed viewers with a high-energy jive that earned them highest score of the night.

So it was no surprise that Strictly Come Dancing duo Janette Manrara and HRVY were in high spirits as they headed to training on Tuesday.

The dancer donned pastel loungewear and a protective visor as she headed into the studio to practice the next routine with the YouTube star, while stars including Jamie Laing were also seen making their way into rehearsals.

Janette cut a laid-back figure in a statement tracksuit with a gorgeous tie-dye pastel effect as she headed into training, ready to teach HRVY the next routine.

Meanwhile HRVY opted for a low-key black ensemble with a cream striped cardigan, along with a taupe face mask.

On Saturday Janette and HRVY wowed viewers when they performed an impressive jive to Faith by Stevie Wonder ft. Ariana Grande, scoring them 25 points out of 30.

Judge Craig Revel-Horwood began by asking HRVY about his name not having any vowels, before he said of the dance: ‘The jive was absolutely spectacular.’

Shirley Ballas went on: ‘I still think HRVY’s the one to watch, we have to remember this evening the talent is amazing you are no exception you are at the top of your game this is a fierce competition.’

Motsi Mabuse was also full of praise, as she said: I mean for me this was the best first dance I have ever seen, ever, ever, and I have to praise you, this was awesome.’

‘My thoughts now are where do we go from here HRVY? Well done a great ending to a great show, I absolutely loved that.’

After performing a Cha Cha Cha to the Eurovision hit Think About Things, the reality star earned mixed comments from the judges, and a score of 14 points out of 30.

Elsewhere Jacqui Smith opted for a low-key ensemble as she headed into training with Anton Du Beke, after finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday with just 13 points.

The former Home Secretary danced a politically-themed Foxtrot Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life by Monty Python.

Motsi began the critiques, as she said: ‘I have to say going from being a former politician and coming onto the ballroom and looking like a dancing girl, you did really well, what we need now is you feeling comfortable expressing yourself, keep everything constant but well done.’

Craig was a lot harsher as he claimed their performance ‘lacked musicality’ which meant it was ‘lumpy’, but he encouraged her by adding: ‘I am looking on the bright side, when you consider Theresa May and her dancing, you were ten times better.’ 

Shirley added that she was ‘pleasantly surprised’ by the pair, as she on: ‘Like everybody else, its the first show you’re starting out but I was absolutely surprised and I loved it well done.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7:10pm on BBC One.
