Cradling the tiny newborn in his arms, Tristan revealed to his co-host Sarah Harris and fill-in presenter Beau Ryan that he’d broken down in tears when little Tadhg was born.

‘It is unbelievable, every single time. To be honest I am very emotional, I was crying when [the baby] came,’ the new father enthused, cradling the tiny newborn in his arms.

‘I knew I was going to [cry] but I don’t know what it was… it’s the start of another amazing world, and you know it’s going to be that good when you finally get them. He is so good,’ he cooed.

Tristan confirmed that that his wife and newborn are doing well, before revealing  he’d also given Tadhg a traditional Irish middle name.

‘His name is Tadhg Nuada MacManus,’ Tristan beamed.

‘They are very Irish traditional names. I told you before, my kid’s names have been picked since I was a kid,’ he explained.

‘[Tahyna and I] love our kids. It doesn’t matter what we call them because we love them,’ he added.

Tristan and Tahyna are also parents to daughter  Echo Ìsolde, five, and son named Oisín Lír, two.

In November last year, Tahyna joined Tristan to discuss her pregnancy on the morning show.

While she was doing well, the expectant mum revealed that she has suffered from morning sickness during her first trimester.

‘I had really bad morning sickness, but I’m past that first trimester phase and well and truly into the second trimester and feeling much better thank goodness,’ she said.

Tahyna revealed the joyous news on Instagram in November, after the couple tragically suffered three miscarriages in four years.

Alongside a stunning image of herself cradling her blossoming baby bump, the mum-of-two wrote: ‘2020 has certainly been a year of surprises.

‘I’ve been here before and feeling every emotion but most importantly feeling grateful and excited. Welcoming our third baby is one of the many things I hope 2021 to bring.’

The couple had only recently addressed their devastating miscarriages in Tahyna’s debut documentary MuM (Misunderstandings of Miscarriage), released on Stan in October.

Tahyna said she hoped the documentary will normalise miscarriage and unpack the stigma.

‘The more women and men that join the conversation about miscarriage, the more we can normalise it and hopefully help families to better cope with their own experience of pregnancy loss,’ she said.
