Peter Stefanovic recently returned back home to Australia after travelling to America to cover the U.S. presidential election.
And on Thursday, Peter’s wife Sylvia Jeffreys shared a sweet tribute to the Sky News reporter as he celebrated his 39th birthday in quarantine.
The Today Extra host posted an adorable video of Peter embracing his nine-month-old son Oscar to Instagram and wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my 1. Miss you like crazy.’

She continued: ‘But enjoy the gift of uninterrupted hotel quarantine sleep because you won’t be getting much of that this time next year. Love you.’
In the video, Oscar giggled as his dad Peter embraced and kissed him while he lay on the bed.
Peter’s mother Jenny also shared a throwback photo of the reporter as a young child posing alongside his brother Karl to Instagram.

Meanwhile, Peter flew to Washington, D.C. to cover the US presidential election last month.

Prior to travelling to America, Peter and his wife Sylvia announced they’re expecting their second child.
Alongside a photo of Peter, 38, holding up Oscar, Sylvia wrote: ‘When you find out you’re getting a best bud for life.
‘Oscar’s little brother due in April next year. We are so lucky,’ she added, tagging her husband.
The couple welcomed their son, Oscar, in February.
