Tahlia, who gave birth to Elodie prematurely at just 36 weeks last month, revealed the middle names are a tribute to her mother and her long-lost biological sister, who reunited for the first time in 65 years in 2017.

Alongside an image of the two women, she explained that her mother, Heather, was adopted at three years old into a ‘beautiful family’, but ‘wanted to find her biological family to piece together missing pieces of her early childhood’.

Tahlia said the family had no luck with their search for decades, until three years ago.

‘We were contacted by my auntie Rose and cousin Helen, who too had been searching all these years,’ she wrote.

‘Sixty-five years after she was adopted, mum finally connected with her biological brothers and sisters back in England.’

Both families then reunited, with Tahlia saying it was like they had ‘never been apart’.

‘We always knew if we had a second girl her middle name would be Rose,’ she continued.

‘So the first time in 65 years two sisters “Heather” and “Rose” are growing up together again.’

Tom and Tahlia announced the birth of their second child late last month, confirming she’d arrived earlier than expected.

The new mother wrote: ‘Our little girl. She decided to surprise us and greet us early at 36 weeks. Born at a healthy 3.5kg (big for a premmie).’

Tom also made the announcement on his Instagram account, writing: ‘Will never get over the miracle of childbirth, we welcomed our second little princess.

‘A bit of a surprise but baby and mum are all great! She’s weighing a very healthy 3.525kg, 7lbs 12oz!

‘Tahlia was a such a legend, we can’t wait to take our little girl home and introduce her to her big sister.’
