Tamzin Outhwaite attends opening night of A Christmas Carol in London

Tamzin Outhwaite looked effortlessly chic as she attended the opening night of musical, A Christmas Carol, at the Dominion Theatre, London, on Monday. 

The former EastEnders actress, 50, made the most of the West End ahead of the British capital bracing itself for tighter restrictions amid the coronavirus crisis.   

Tamzin looked stylish in a grey patterned co-ord which consisted of a zip-up jacket and jogging bottoms.

The soap star teamed the look with a black high-neck top and a pair of stylish studded heeled ankle boots.

Tamzin finished the ensemble with a brown leather crossover handbag and a collection of gold necklaces.

The actress left her blonde locks in a loose hairdo, she added a slick of radiant make-up and wore an animal face mask amid the coronavirus crisis. 

Tamzin appeared to be joined by her family and her partner, Tom Child, who didn’t pose for photographs but did document the night of theatre on his Instagram.

Other famous faces to attend on Monday evening included Emma Willis who was there to support husband Matt, Dan Osborne who supported wife Jacqueline Jossa, Love Island stars Amy Hart and Amber Davis, and Keith Lemon star Leigh Francis.  

Only recently, Tamzin admitted her two daughters won’t let her marry her toyboy Tom Child.   

In a candid interview, the former EastEnders actress explained that while Florence, 12, and Marnie, eight, have a close relationship with the producer, 29, her mini-mes ‘don’t like the idea’ of the couple taking their relationship to the next level.

The soap star also shed light on approaching menopause and co-parenting with her California-based ex-husband Tom Ellis as she admitted she’s been left to raise her kids with her nanny due to travel restrictions.

A Christmas Carol is a festive stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous novel, with Brain Conley taking the lead as Ebenezer Scrooge and Jacqueline Jossa playing a female Ghost of Christmas Future.   

It is one of the first shows to hit the West End after almost a whole year of shutdown amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Although the musical will be suspending performances from the 16 December following the announcement London will go into Tier Three. 

In the meantime, the show will be COVID-safe and socially-distanced, onstage, backstage and front of house, with a large orchestra and a cast of over 50.

Joining Jacqueline will be Busted singer Matt Willis who will play Bob Cratchit, as well as Brian Conley as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Also starring will be Lucie Jones, Sandra Marvin, Martyn Ellis, Cedric Neal and Jeremy Secomb.

Of course Matt is no stranger to the theatre, having starred in Wicked and Little Shop Of Horrors in the West End.

Lucie has starred on stage in Waitress and Rent, shooting to fame on The X Factor as a finalist in 2009. She will play The Ghost Of Christmas Past.

Sandra (Emmerdale and Waitress) will play Mrs Fezziwig and Martyn (My Fair Lady and One Man, Two Guvnors) will portray her husband.

Cedric [of The Voice and Motown: The Musical] will be The Ghost Of Christmas Present, Jeremy [Jerry Springer: The Opera] takes the role of Jacob Marley, Rebecca Lock [Heathers] will play Mrs Cratchit and Sam Oladeinde [The Book Of Mormon) will be Fred Anderson/Young Scrooge.

The producers have plugged the show as ‘a Christmas event to reunite families after the hardest year in living memory’.

It has also been stipulated that those unable to attend due to being unwell or having to isolate will be able to exchange tickets free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked show.

A Christmas Carol is one of the world’s favourite festive stories, penned by Dickens in 1843.
