Tara Reid, 44, and Jedward, 28, discuss turning to each other for support after losing their mothers

They surprised the world when they revealed that they were self-isolating together in LA, nine years after meeting Celebrity Big Brother.

And, appearing on Friday’s edition of Loose Women, Tara Reid, 44, and Jedward twins John and Edward Grimes, 28, discussed turning to each other for support after losing their mothers as they continue to quarantine together.

The unexpected BFFs were joined by Tara’s two sweet pet pups Baso and Bella as Edward heartbreakingly explained how they came together, saying: ‘Our families who we would have quarantined with aren’t there.’

John said: ‘Quarantine has been good. It’s been a weird time. But, doing it together has made it easier for us!

‘But I know some people are going through it alone and some people may not have the support. But during this time you’ve got to stay together and you really know who your friends are during these times. 

Edward added: ‘The things about it is Tara and us, we all lost our mums within the same year so I feel like we’re all a support network. It was a very hard time for it all’

‘And during this time… Our families who we would have quarantined with aren’t there, so us together, we can relate to each others’ situations. I feel like we’re looking after each other and have the best intent.’.

In October 2018, Tara revealed the sudden death of her mother Donna, two years after the actress’ father passed away.  

Four months later, in February 2019, Jedward lost their mother Susanna, following her five-year battle with cancer. 

Explaining the set up for lockdown, Edward said: ‘Me and Jon, we have our own place in Tara’s building.

‘Tara’s on the 10th floor and Tara’s on the 2nd floor. If we ever need anything we just go up the elevator.’   

The American Pie star initially revealed she had been quarantining with the pop twins on Wednesday, when she shared a picture of herself with the singers and expressed how grateful she is to have them. 

She penned: ‘I’m so happy I’m with my bffs John and Edward @jepicpics thank god they are with me during my quarantine my experience.

‘Would not have been the same without them be safe we all care about you.’

The Irish pop duo are currently living in Tara’s Los Angeles penthouse and Tara has said they are using the time to work on new material. 

She told Digital Spy: ‘We are all artists. John and Edward, you should see the songs they’re writing right now.’

She said the trio have all been listening to the lectures of spiritual guru Deepak Chopra every day.

‘We did it last night together with all the lights off,’ the boys said.  

‘And we cleaned her windows yesterday,’ they added.  

While fans will be said they can’t get a peek of the three of them recreating their experience in the Big Brother house, there is some good news for fans.

For the very first time on TV, Big Brother presenting icons, Davina McCall, Rylan Clark-Neal, Emma Willis and Dermot O’Leary, are joining forces. 

The awesome foursome will come together (virtually) to share their thoughts on some of the juiciest and most memorable episodes of Big Brother for E4’s Big Brother: Best Shows Ever.

Dermot, 47, and Emma, 44, will join Davina, 25, and Rylan, 31, in the first episode on Sunday June 14 at 9pm on E4. They will also contribute to episodes across the series.
