Telling sign Lindsay Lohan won’t be returning for the upcoming season of Masked Singer

EXCLUSIVE: Lindsay Lohan will NOT return for the upcoming season of Masked Singer and has been replaced by comedian Urzila Carlson

Lindsay Lohan is thought to have been replaced by comedian Urzila Carlson on The Masked Singer Australia after the Hollywood actress was unable to travel Down Under to film the popular reality show.

Despite confirming her return to the Channel 10 series in November, all signs suggest that Lindsay, 32, won’t be returning for the third season.

And a gap in Urzila’s tour schedule has allowed her time to return as Lindsay’s replacement.

That is so fetch! A telling clue has seemingly confirmed that actress Lindsay Lohan will not be returning for the third season of The Masked Singer

With the show already in pre-production, the 45-year-old Kiwi is already in Australia ready to begin filming on July 3.

Another telling sign that Urzila will replace Lindsay is she has a month break from touring – one week before the show is due to record.

Lindsay, who is still in Dubai, would need to fly to Sydney in the next 24 hours and complete mandatory hotel quarantine in order to appear on the series.

The Mean Girls star is unable to travel to Australia amid international travel restrictions.

In November 2020, Lindsay told The Ben, Rob & Robbo Internet Show that she would be making a return for the third season – but did not mention if she would be appearing in person.

Lindsay’s return would have been positive for The Masked Singer Australia, which saw a 37 per cent drop in ratings for season two last year.

The season average in the five cap cities was 928,000 in 2019 for overnight figures, compared to 816,000 in 2020, TV Blackbox reported.

The official confirmation also comes after Channel 10 boss Beverley McGarvey stated there was ‘wiggle room’ for Lindsay to come back in some capacity.

‘We love all the talent that we had on this year and we love Lindsay,’ she said in a statement.

‘Our feeling at this point is that it feels fairly ambitious to think our borders are going to be open anytime soon.

‘Obviously we would love to have all our internationals back once we can, but I just don’t know when that’s going to be.’

In addition to Urzila, the judging panel for the show comprises singer Dannii Minogue, 49, stand-up comic Dave and radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 46.

Will she make it? Lindsay's return will be a sweet note for The Masked Singer Australia, which saw a 37 per cent drop in ratings for season two last year
