The Amazing Race throws viewers another curveball as two jacked-up bodybuilders join the competition halfway through the season
Two teams on The Amazing Race have withdrawn from the competition early.
And now Channel 10 has announced a brand new duo will join the show late in the game as the contestants inch closer to the $250,000 cash prize.
Bodybuilders Stan, 36, and Wayne, 26, will surprise the remaining eight teams when they make their debut on Sunday’s episode.

Late arrivals: The Amazing Race will shock stars on Sunday’s episode by introducing NEW bodybuilder team Stan and Wayne halfway through the season
The New South Wales’ mates both work at Stan’s supplement stores, and have both won numerous bodybuilding titles.
Stan was even named Mr. Australia in 2017.
The pair joined the series to help break the stigma on bodybuilders and to make their sons proud.
If they win, Wayne had expressed interest in using his half of the money to open a gym or start his own personal training studio.

The bodybuilders shock arrival follows the removal of two teams from the race due to health issues.
Earlier this month, twin models Alex and Jack Newell voluntarily forfeited their spot on the race due to something personal ‘surfacing’ with Alex’s mental health.
Jack explained on the show: ‘Before this had to begin we had to quarantine in a hotel for 15 days. During that time, for Alex, something surfaced that he had to deal with and the Race environment isn’t the right environment for him to deal with that.’
Alex confirmed this, saying: ‘A lot of stuff from my past came up and Jack and I have been through similar things… And he has sought out help. And I never… I was always too proud to seek out help. I think that now I will seek out help.’
In their sudden absence, eliminated Deady Duo and Kimberley cousins Dwes Wiggan-Dann and Katherine Dann were allowed to rejoin the race.
