The Bachelorette: Becky Miles’ relationship with ‘winner’ Pete Mann lasted a matter of DAYS

The Bachelorette’s Becky Miles reportedly ended things with her winning suitor, Pete Mann, within just days of filming the season finale on September 7.

According to gossip website The Wash, the pair didn’t waste any time going their separate ways after realising neither of them was willing to relocate.

Pete, 34, lives in Adelaide, where he owns several cafés, while Becky, 30, works as a defence contracting specialist in Newcastle, NSW.

The publication also unearthed a photo of Pete ‘looking miserable’ at a winery in the Barossa Valley in early October, fuelling rumours of a painful break-up.

Daily Mail Australia had previously reported on the couple’s post-show split, but it wasn’t known until now just how brief their relationship was.

The news will come as another blow for Channel 10, as The Bachelorette – starring sisters Becky and Elly Miles – has already attracted record-low ratings this season.

Earlier this week, an insider revealed how Becky and Pete’s romance fizzled out after they struggled to cope living in different states.

‘She’s very sweet, but the mathematics just didn’t add up,’ a source close to Pete said on Thursday.

‘Pete was too invested in running his four coffee shops in Adelaide, and Becky wasn’t keen on doing an Irena,’ they added, referring to how this year’s winning Bachelor contestant, Irena Srbinovska, moved across the country to live with Locky Gilbert.

Tellingly, Becky updated her relationship status on Facebook to ‘single’ last week, suggesting she’s still looking for love.

During a candid one-on-one conversation on the show last week, Becky outright asked Pete how their relationship would work given they live in different states.

‘If we did leave this together, how do you think that would work? ‘Cause, like, you’re in Adelaide and you’ve got a business, too, and that’s huge,’ she said.

Pete acknowledged that his business was his ‘whole life’, and said he also had to consider his younger brother, Luke.

‘My family, they’re in Adelaide now – my brother and my parents. And my youngest brother, just over two years ago, had a brain injury and it was really serious – like, it was life-or-death stuff,’ he explained.

‘He’s still recovering from that. And part of my work mission in many ways is to build up my business to a stage where I don’t have to work and, if it’s needed, I can step in for mum and dad and look after Luke.’

He added: ‘There are still some things that we need to work out around moving and who lives where and how that all works. But I believe that love conquers all. If the feeling is strong enough and the emotions are real, we’ll make it work.’

Pete and Becky also discussed the challenges of a long-distance relationship during hometown visits on Thursday’s episode.

The Bachelorette continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
