The Bachelorette Clare Crawley urges more men to apply for her season

Last week, ABC unveiled the suitors who will be vying for Clare Crawley’s heart on The Bachelorette.

But now that production has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, Clare is urging more men to continue applying for her season.

‘I’m not saying this personally — but I feel like since we have a break in the show right now, I don’t think it’s too late to submit people. So, submit them, why not? What’s the worst that could happen?’ Clare, 38, asked on her Instagram Live on Tuesday.

Several of the men cast for her season are years younger than Clare, but the Bacheloette doesn’t have a problem meeting someone a little out of her age range. 

‘Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Not too much younger… but younger,’ Clare said of dating someone younger than her.

Former Bachelor contestant Michelle Money was also in Clare’s corner, advocating for more consideration into her casting amid the quarantine.  

‘Dear Bachelor Nation!’ Michelle called on her Instagram stories. ‘And Chris Harrison, and Mike Fleiss, and everyone in the casting department! I am calling on a state of emergency, for and behalf Clare Crawley, who is a 39-year-old woman, who is looking for the love of her life!

‘Can we please put a little bit more energy, and time, and thoughtfulness into who we’re casting while we have a few weeks to quarantine?’

Clare reposted the video onto her Instagram stories, where she gave Michelle her seal of approval.

‘True friends always look out for each other, alwaysss,’ Clare wrote in the video.

At age 38, Clare will be the oldest woman to become the Bachelorette. 

The reality star went down in Bachelor Nation history after standing up to herself to Bachelor Juan Pablo, who had just dumped her.  

She appeared in subsequent spin-off seasons of Bachelor In Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games, where she even became briefly engaged to contestant  Benoît Beauséjour-Savard.
