The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne jokes about taking her young daughters to the zoo

The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne jokes that taking her young daughters to the zoo is like ‘setting them free in their natural habitat’ as she shares photos from day out with fiancé Matty ‘J’ Johnson

The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne headed out to the zoo on Sunday with her fiancé Matty ‘J’ Johnson and their two children.

The 35-year-old posted several photos and videos to Instagram, documenting the trip with newborn daughter, Lola, and Marlie-Mae, 14 months.

Alongside a photo of little Marlie-Mae with a dummy in her mouth and kangaroos in the background, she wrote: ‘Taking toddlers to the zoo is like setting them free in their natural habitat.

‘MM had a 20 minute stage 5 meltdown because she wanted Lola’s dummy. One guess who won that match.’

In further photos, Marlie-Mae sat in her father Matty’s arms as she excitedly looked at koalas sitting in a branch.

The family of four also posed together for a sweet image taken at the zoo, with Matty and Laura beaming.

It comes after the 33-year-old Bachelor star grew emotional while talking about his two young daughters on a recent episode of Dancing With The Stars.

Matty admitted he was finding the dance moves to his next routine ‘so confusing’ and put it down to sleepless nights with his daughters.

‘I’m exhausted. Not only is it physically demanding, but I’ve got two little girls. One is a newborn, so sleep is something that I’m not getting a lot of,’ he confessed.

‘My head right now is just so cloudy, and I can’t retain information, which is so frustrating.’

As he continued to discuss his two young daughters, Matty became teary-eyed: ‘I think of my girls and it makes me want to cry.’

‘All I want to do is make my family proud. So that’s why I’m dancing,’ the emotional father-of-two added.
