The Masked Singer Australia season two gets a premiere date

Channel 10 golden boy Osher Günsberg is going to be busy when mid-August rolls around.

The 46-year-old presenter announced the return of The Masked Singer on Friday, revealing the show will premiere just two days before The Bachelor, which he also hosts.

The Masked Singer returns for a second season on August 10, while the eighth series of The Bachelor will launch on August 12. 

In a video posted to the show’s Instagram page on Friday, Osher announced The Masked Singer’s return date. 

‘You know, everywhere I go, no matter what I’m doing, where I’m working, whether I’m going to the grocery store, whether I’m online… People are asking, “When’s The Masked Singer coming back?”, “When is The Masked Singer returning?”‘ he said.

He then paused as a makeup artist gave him a touch-up, jokingly pointing to his chin and instructing her to add ‘a little under here’.

‘August 10th. August 10th The Masked Singer returns!’ he said, before telling to his makeup artist, ‘Bit more, please!’

Osher then burst out laughing as the makeup artist responded with mock outrage, telling him, ‘Don’t you tell me my job!’ 

There will be a slight cast shake-up on this year’s season, with comedian Urzila Carlson set to replace judge Lindsay Lohan.  

The American actress won’t be returning because she cannot fly to Australia due to coronavirus travel restrictions.

Meanwhile, it was also announced on Friday that the upcoming season of The Bachelor will return on August 12.

Given that Osher fronts both show, he will be on Channel 10 most nights per week.
