The Masked Singer is SHUT DOWN after a coronavirus outbreak – with ‘SEVEN dancers testing positive’ and the show’s stars told to self-isolate immediately

The Masked Singer Australia has been rocked by a coronavirus outbreak.
Seven dancers have reportedly tested positive for coronavirus and the show’s stars – including judges Dannii Minogue and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson – have been ordered to self-isolate immediately.
Host Osher Günsberg is also self-isolating, as is the show’s production team.
The COVID-19 bombshell came on the night of the show’s grand final.
The show’s set is in Melbourne, which is at the centre of Australia’s coronavirus second wave.

‘Production on The Masked Singer has been immediately suspended as a result of several crew members receiving a positive test result for COVID-19,’ Network Ten said in a statement.
‘The health and safety of the community, and our staff and production partners is our number one priority.
‘The entire production team, including the masked singers, the host and panellists are now in self-isolation. They are all being monitored closely and are in constant contact with medical authorities.

‘Network 10 is working closely with the Victorian Government and the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. Network 10 is providing all crew with all the support and assistance possible.’
One dancer came to the set ill on Friday and was told by producers to go home, the Sunday Herald Sun reported.
Another six dancers who were in close contact also reportedly tested positive.

With no studio audience this season because of coronavirus, the show has instead used dancers to perform in the forefront as the stars perform.
The Docklands studio was also set to be used by Channel Nine this week.
Victoria recorded another 182 cases of coronavirus on Saturday, and 13 more deaths.
The national death toll is now 485.
The new deaths include a man in his 50s, a woman in her 70s, two men and three women in their 80s, three women in their 90s and one woman aged over 100. Ten of the deaths are linked to aged care.
There are 610 COVID-19 patients in hospital, with 36 battling the virus in intensive care and 22 on a ventilator.
