The shocking moment Today hosts realise Scott Cam’s dog is DEAD during interview

The Block host Scott Cam shocked the Today show hosts on Friday, when he bought his stuffed dead dog with him for a live TV interview.

The 57-year-old, who has two late dogs stuffed, left Karl Stefanovic, 46, and Allison Langdon, 41, mortified and in stitches when he sat down for a cross with pet pooch Rosie by his side.

‘Um, that’s not Rosie is it?’ Ally asked Scotty at the start of the chat.

Scotty confirmed that it was the late Rosie who was sitting next to him.

‘That’s Rosie, good girl,’ he said while stroking her.

‘You asked me to bring her in, so I bought her in!’

Karl and Allison revealed that they didn’t know that Rosie was joining them for the chat, oblivious that a producer must have called Scotty and told him to do so.

‘I didn’t, I thought you should let sleeping dogs lie,’ Karl said while laughing.

He jokingly added: ‘Scotty, you need to explain how that dog is standing there so still!’

The hosts couldn’t stop laughing, causing Scotty to look a little embarrassed.

‘You guys rang me up… and now you’re laughing at me! She looks good though doesn’t she,’ he said in good spirits.

Karl then tried to carry on with the interview ahead of The Block’s season premiere on Sunday, but got distracted.

‘It’s an amazing job… I’m so sorry mate… it’s just a strange thing to see… it’s an incredible job.’

Last week, Studio 10 host Kerri-Anne Kennerley revealed that Scott loves his pet pooches so much, he had one of his dead dogs stuffed.

Kerri-Anne, 66, made the comments during a segment on a puppy that can sit still like a statue.

‘Scotty Cam’s got his dog stuffed,’ Kerri-Anne said.

‘Oh, really?’ co-host Sarah Harris asked, looking a little shocked, before asking if Kerri-Anne could ever do that with one of her pets.

‘Never, no I couldn’t,’ Kerri-Anne said with a laugh.

But she added: ‘But Scotty Cam, he’s done a great job with it and it sits in his bar.’

Scotty often talks about his dogs on his Instagram and blog.

In an old blog post, the TV personality said he got his late dog Lizzie stuffed because he ‘loved her so much he couldn’t let her go.’

Lizzie was a black and tan Kelpie cross.

‘She’s in my house now, collar and ears up ready to go, and I say ”G’day” to her every night when I get home,’ Scotty wrote in his post.

‘I know it’s not for everyone but I like it – she was too good to bury. I’ve told my wife that by the time I’m 80 I’m gonna have three or four dogs lined up in the lounge room… perfect.’

In May last year, Scotty revealed that his pet pooch Rosie died and was ‘hanging out with Lizzie.’
