Renee Bargh and Darren McMullen will host this year’s season of The Voice.

The presenting duo replaced Sonia Kruger at the start of production earlier this year, after she departed Channel Nine for Seven and landed a gig on Big Brother.

Whereas Darren has history on The Voice, previously hosting it from 2012 to 2015, newcomer Renee has now revealed her surprising connection to the show.

Speaking to The Sydney Morning Herald on Sunday, the 33-year-old gushed it was like a ‘family reunion’ when she started filming due to her exisiting relationships with celebrity coaches Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland.

‘Delta and I lived together for years in LA, so whenever she’d fly back [to Sydney] to be on it, I’d be like, “I want to be a part of it!”‘ admitted Renee.

‘Guy and I have been friends for over 10 years. He put me up in his apartment when I first moved to LA – he’s like family to me.’
