The Weeknd also confirmed in another interview with Entertainment Tonight that his show will not take place on a stage in the middle of the field, but rather in the stands.
‘Due to the COVID and the safety of the players and the workers, we kind of built the stage within the stadium,’ the singer said.
He added they will also use the field as well, ‘but we wanted to kind of do something that hasn’t been done before.’

The Weeknd has been seen in many of his performances over the past year sporting head bandages and bruises to fit into the storyline he tells with his album After Hours and his hit song Blinding Lights.
The singer was also asked what his favorite Super Bowl halftime performance was, and he didn’t hesitate to answer.
‘My favorite is definitely Diana Ross, 1996. She’s just so glamorous and the show just makes me smile,’ he added.
He also commented on her exit, where she grabbed onto a helicopter and flew off, adding he doesn’t think he has enough money to do that, after he confirmed that he spent $7 million of his own money on the Super Bowl show.
