The Wiggles’ Anthony Field gives fans a rare look into his personal life

He’s the proud father of three children, Lucia, 16, Marie, 14 and Antonio, 13, who he shares with his long-time wife Michaela Patisteas.

And on Thursday, The Wiggles star Anthony Field gave fans a rare look into his personal life as he shared a sweet throwback photo with his daughter Lucia.

Uploading the picture to Instagram, the 57-year-old legendary children’s entertainer looked every inch the doting dad as he cradled a much younger Lucia.

‘They grow up too quick! Beautiful Lucia!’ he wrote.

The Hot Potato singer is seen smiling ear-to-ear while he shared an adorable moment with his eldest daughter.

He last shared a family photo back in February, also of Lucia, while she celebrated her 16th birthday.

Anthony has been self-isolating with his family since March, after The Wiggles were forced to lay-off hundreds of touring staff, after cancelling a number of planned shows amid the coronavirus pandemic.  

Speaking to Perth Now in April, the Blue Wiggle confirmed the decision: ‘We’ve had to stand down our beautiful cast,’ he said.

‘A lot of our dancers, the lady that goes around and sells the merchandise, truck drivers, sound crew — it’s heartbreaking.’

The veteran children’s entertainer said that while they do have an online presence, it is not the same as performing for their little fans.

It comes after the group’s managing director, Paul Field, and brother of Anthony, confirmed he parted ways with the children’s entertainment group after 24 years. 

The company confirmed to Daily Mail Australia in April that Paul left in March as the business is ‘going through a period of organisational change’. 

‘The Wiggles thank Paul for 24 years of service and for his leadership and dedication during that time. The Wiggles wish Paul all the best in his future endeavours.’
