Thor director Taika Waititi and Courtney Act lead red carpet arrivals at the premiere of RuPaul

Taika Waititi is currently in Sydney filming the fourth instalment of the Thor films – Thor: Love and Thunder.

And on Friday, the Kiwi director took time out of his busy schedule to attend the premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

The 45-year-old didn’t shy away from putting on a dapper display as he arrived at the Sydney Opera House for the event, hosted by Stan.

He looked handsome in a teal suit with a white patterned shirt and black tie, which he teamed with a purple pocket square for a pop of colour.

The Academy Award winner then shared the red carpet with Drag Queen Philma Box.

She looked sensational in a blue and white dress with ruffles in the lower portion, and a statement headpiece and wig inspired by the Sydney Opera House.

The pair smiled for a few photos together, before going on to do a few cheeky poses together.

Also attending the event was Courtney Act who dazzled in a stunning pink frock that looked to be inspired by a Barbie Doll creation. 

The drag star, whose real name is Shane Jenek, wore a gown that featured a shimmering, body fitted dress and a sash that crossed their figure and cascaded to a sea of layered frills on their side.

They accessorised with a pair of strappy long heels, and glittering head band and earrings that matched the rose number.  

PR queen Roxy Jacenko stepped out for the event in a head to toe designer outfit.

At one point in the event she wore a luxurious-looking fur coat, which she later removed as she posed on the red carpet.

The blonde bombshell looked glamorous in a blue camo-print dress from Christian Dior, that costs around $3000. 

Roxy, whose drag ego is Coco Caine, accessorised her look with her beloved Hermes mini Kelly purse, with a price point of approximately $11,845, and stunning black heels with a shimmering chain.

The chill of the autumn night couldn’t keep Christian Wilkins away from attending the festivities.

The 25-year-old dressed to impress in a statement star top that featured a plunging neckline and showed off his incredibly toned arms.

He teamed the look with a pair of black trousers and a small cross body bag. 

Actress Claudia Karvan wowed in a velvet pink dress with a daring thigh high slit, worn with a quirky jacket. 

The 48-year-old star of the screen wore a chic bomber jacket with applique details and completed the look with boots. 

Samantha Jade turned heads as she showed off her trim and petite figure in an all black ensemble.

The 34-year-old singer flaunted her figure in a long-sleeved mini dress that drew attention to her trim pins and featured a sweetheart neckline.

Beau Ryan looked dapper indeed in a beige jacket with matching trousers, and a white t-shirt underneath. 

He added a pair of crisp white sneakers to his look, and had a rainbow LGBTQ+ badge on his lapel.  

Host of Today Extra David Campbell looked suave in a checked suit ensemble for the event. 

Richard Reid, who is a contributing panellist for Studio 10, opted to bring the pizazz to the event in his colourful ensemble.

His brightly patterned suit was teamed with a pink shirt that was unbuttoned to reveal his chesty display.

TV presenter Darren McMullen impressed fashion fans as he dressed in a red velvet suit with a bow tie.

He had a ruggedly handsome look with his trimmed down beard and slicked his hair back. 

Musician Lara D showcased her vibrant green outfit – a long coast with a figure-hugging frock underneath.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will premiere May 1, only on Stan, with new episodes weekly.
