Tom Hanks announced his coronavirus diagnosis while on Australia’s Gold Coast filming Baz Lurhmann’s Elvis Presley biopic in March.
And now, the Castaway star, 64, is back in Queensland to resume filming on the hotly anticipated movie.
On Tuesday, the Hollywood heavyweight landed at Coolangatta airport in the Sunshine State.

Tom put safety first, covering his famous face with a black mask as he deplaned on the tarmac.
The actor wore a black and white Adidas tracksuit and a pale cap along with a pair of sneakers.
He carried a typewriter well as a travel mug, and was surrounded by airport staffers dressed in protective gear.
Tom was met by Queensland health officials at the airport and had a police escort to the Oracle Resort in Broadbeach.

Tom and his wife Rita Wilson, 63, contracted COVID-19 while staying on Australia’s Gold Coast in March.
Prior to her diagnosis, Rita performed a number of concerts during her time in Australia, including at the Sydney Opera House.
After their diagnosis, the Hollywood couple remained in hospital for three days before returning to their rented home on the Gold Coast to continue quarantining.

Following their quarantine period, the A-list couple returned to Los Angeles in late March.
Also in Late March, Warner Bros on Friday confirmed production on the Baz Luhrmann-directed Elvis biopic would be delayed until later in the year.
