Turia Pitt has shared a story from before her time in quarantine. 

The 32-year-old shared the story on Instagram on Saturday, which was from before the lockdown amid coronavirus. 

She was set to do a photo shoot at her home, before finding an immense pile of cockroaches on the lawn thanks to her husband Michael Hoskin.

Turia explained that she had run around perfecting the house and herself for the photos before she saw the lawn. 

‘I hurried outside.⁣ ⁣ On first glance, it appeared as though the front yard and driveway had been covered with tiny chocolate licorice logs.⁣ ⁣ 

‘And then I heard a crunch underneath my foot.⁣ ⁣ It was a dead cockroach.⁣ ⁣ In fact, the lawn was covered by hundreds of dead cockroaches.

‘I inspected an un-crunched roach to the side of my right foot.⁣ ⁣ It was on its back like the proverbial beetle. It’s legs were stiffened by what I presumed was the cockroach version of rigor mortis. The sun glistened on its oily leg.⁣ ⁣

”MICHAELLLLLL!!!!!’ I screamed.⁣ ⁣ He casually stuck his head out of the upstairs window.⁣ ⁣ Michael: ‘What’s up, darl?’⁣ 

‘Turia: ‘There’s about ten million dead cockroaches in our yard!!!’⁣ Michael: ‘Yeah! You’ve been nagging me for weeks to get the exterminator around. He came yesterday! Cool, huh?!’⁣ ⁣

Turia suffered horrific burns to 64 per cent of her body when she got caught in a wildfire in Western Australia in 2011, during an ultramarathon. 

She welcomed her first son, Hakavai, with long-term partner Michael Hoskin in December 2017. The couple welcomed their second child, baby boy Rahiti, in February this year.

The pair got engaged in 2015, with Michael previously revealing he bought the diamond ring when Turia was in intensive care in 2011.
