The ‘cheapest House in Hull’ is set to be auctioned for a starting price of just £1,000 this week, but potential buyers will not be allowed inside before placing their bids.

Situated in the residential area of Dorset Street, in Gipsyville, off Hessle Road, the two-bedroom terraced house sits along side those worth in the region of £55,000.

However the heavily discounted price comes with a catch – the property has been badly fire damaged and the renovation work is not for the faint-hearted.

The fire-ravaged family home is set to go under the hammer with estate agents Bond Wolfe Auctions on June 24 – as Hull’s cheapest property and one of the cheapest in the UK.

Due to coronavirus lockdown restrictions internal viewings are not currently being carried out, with only external viewings available.

The house consists of a ‘reception room’ with a kitchen/diner on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor and has a rear garden.

The advert online reads: ‘For sale by public auction on June 24, 2020.

‘Please note that the auction will be livestreamed via our website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.
