Nearly 15 years after catapulting to stardom from her starring role in Disney’s High School Musical, Vanessa Hudgens performed the film’s iconic track Breaking Free on Friday.

One week after posting a video of herself singing the Zac Efron duet song alone in her car on Instagram, the Bad Boys for Life actress was joined for a virtual duet with her pal Max Clayton.

‘We met because we both had our Broadway debut together on Gigi,’ the beauty gushed of the talented performer, who revealed his real-life closely resembled Troy Bolton’s from the 2006 Disney film.

At Hudgens’ egging, Clayton, who has since performed in productions from Hello, Dolly! to Moulin Rouge, recalled being torn between athletics and performing as a teen, like the plot in the beloved HSM franchise.

‘I remember when I first spoke to you about this and I was like, ‘This is going to sound kind of weird, but I also need you to know that the parallels to my real-life and Troy Bolton’s story are freaky!’ he told the singer in a YouTube video.

Before transitioning to a side-by-side remote performance, she applauded his singing chops and ability to hit the high notes.

After three minutes of conversation, the clip jumps to them in their respective vehicles and following identical choreography.

‘We’re soarin’, flyin’/There’s not a star in heaven/That we can’t reach,’ Clayton begins, while they go from holding onto their steering wheel to toping the ceiling.

Despite their limited space, the pair didn’t hold back, as they shimmied and moved their arms.

Hudgens kept her look laid-back in an olive bomber jacket and just a black sports bra, which put her taut midriff on full display.

While she kept her same ensemble throughout the performance, Clayton showed off his eccentric side in a number of looks, including a red basketball jersey and striped polo in the fictional high school’s team colors.

‘What song should we do next? We have time, lol,’ she asked fans in the comments, who poured in their approval.
