Victoria Beckham shares sweet picture of a bunch of daisies husband David has picked for her as she sends him kisses

She’s known for expensive taste when it comes to fine wines and fashion.

But, Victoria Beckham proved it’s often small, sentimental gestures which mean the most, as she sent kisses to husband David, on Tuesday, after he gifted her a pretty bunch of daisies.

The former Spice Girl took to Instagram where she shared a photograph of the footballer holding the flowers in his heavily tattooed hand.

Victoria’s flower photograph comes after the Beckham family’s plans to build a lake in the grounds of their £6million Cotswolds estate have been blocked to protect wildlife.

It was revealed that the plans put to West Oxfordshire District Council to create a stretch of water spanning 3000 square meters have been blocked due to potential impact on the species in the area.

Earlier this month, it was first revealed that the couple are planning to build a kidney-shaped lake on their sprawling Cotswolds estate.

The report, viewed by The Sun, read: ‘The loss of the grassland will potentially impact on protected and priority species including amphibians (including great crested newts), reptiles, mammals and ground nesting birds…

‘The grassland may also show botanical interest.’

The attempted addition will be the latest in a long-line of alterations to the Beckhams’ estate after they were previously awarded permission to install a secret underground tunnel, wine cellar and ‘super garage’.

David and Victoria submitted plans for a lake that will be four metres deep and surrounded by an array of wildflowers and trees yet it has now been blocked.

David and Victoria’s representatives declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.

It comes after the couple’s idyllic lifestyle was reportedly on the verge of being disrupted by the construction of a huge car park.

The 100-space underground car park has been planned by a nearby business, according to The Sun

The unnamed applicant will also reportedly build six five-bedroom lodges, an upscale leisure centre with pool and a restaurant a stone’s throw away from the mega-rich family’s countryside bolthole.

The Sun reports that West Oxfordshire District Council received notice that works had begun on the large project on March 31 – three years after plans were approved.

But David and Victoria have already been awarded planning permission of their own to install a secret underground tunnel, wine cellar and ‘super garage’ at their Cotswolds home.

They were recently granted permission to extend their sprawling property, as long as they begin the work within three years.

Before news emerged of the couple’s new house plans, David took to Instagram to share a snap detailing his pride at his many career achievements.

He added a caption reading: ‘Sometimes the road is long and u need to take a breather .. Manchester United , Real Madrid , La Liga and the premiership wasn’t built in a day… Teams , players and clubs need time to flourish but when they do…

‘All the hard times seem so distant… It’s important to take time to reflect on what we have achieved so far… I’m proud of my team , our club and the amazing fans that we have… Patience is a virtue’.
