‘We adore you’: Tara Rushton and Cooper Cronk welcome their second son and reveal his unusual name

Tara Rushton and Cooper Cronk are the proud parents to a second son. 

The sports presenter, 36, and the former rugby player, 37,  announced the birth of their baby boy in an Instagram post on Friday, revealing he’d been born a week prior. 

Sharing a black and white photo of the sleeping tot Tara shared a quote from Elton John’s hit, Your Song. 

‘How wonderful life is now you’re in the world. – Elton John,’ she captioned the photo, before revealing her son’s unusual name. 

‘Harley River Cronk. We adore you. #1weekinthelovebubble,’ she added. 

The couple welcomed their first child, a son Lennox, in 2018, and in October last year, announced they were expecting their second child together. 

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph’s Stellar magazine at the time, the couple explained that they were ‘really happy’ with the news. 

‘We always spoke about wanting two kids. We never really planned it in terms of timing, but we’re really happy,’ former NRL player Cooper said.   

Tara was then five months along and revealed that the couple were successfully able to keep the pregnancy under wraps. 

‘Somehow we’ve been able to conceal [the pregnancy] this time around. I think it’s because nobody asked!’ the Fox Sports presenter admitted.  

Like with her first pregnancy, she experienced some nausea, but this time she also had a two-year-old to chase after. 

‘It definitely adds a different level of intensity when you’re chasing a fast-footed two-year-old around while pregnant,’ she said. 

Last year, Cooper defected from the Melbourne Storm to the Sydney Rosters in order to be closer to Tara.  

‘Tara, my fiancee, is based in Sydney and there’s a few things in life that are more important than football, like family, getting married and a future,’ he said at the time. 

The high-profile pair tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in December 2017.
