What the royals’ birthdays say about their personalities, astrologer reveals

The royals’ birthdays could offer insight into key traits that define their individual personalities, an astrologer has claimed.

Theresa Cheung, a UK-based best-selling author in the realms of spirituality, dreams and the paranormal, believes the day a person was born can reveal surprising details about who they truly are.

She uses a combination of psychology, Eastern and Western astrology and numerology, and the correlation between the date and month of birth to profile people and reveal their inner-most personality traits.

‘Your birthday holds the key to your personality and your birthday profile highlights potential, but everyone has a choice about how they choose to express that potential,’ Theresa told FEMAIL.  ‘That’s why two people born on the same day will never be exactly the same.’

Meghan Markle, for example, has an ‘intense dislike of restraint’ and a ‘restless nature’ while Kate Middleton has a ‘desire to respect tradition and serve others’ along with an ability to ‘see the bigger picture’, according to Theresa.

Here Theresa has analysed the birthdays of some of the most senior members of the Royal Family – the Queen, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Charles – and shares her findings…

Meghan Markle, 4 August: The Birthday of the Rebel

Until Harry finds meaningful work his marriage to Meghan and the drama it has ignited will fill the void and give him direction, according to Theresa

The defining theme here is rebellion. Anyone born on this day will want to seriously challenge the status quo in some area of their life.

There is an intense dislike of restraint, combined with a hatred of complacency and this can often lead them to unpredictable or unconventional behaviour.

The challenge is to learn how to deal with authority and understand that freedom and independence are not always superior to co-operation and diplomacy. If they can become responsible in their rebellion and channel their fierce intelligence and determination positively, they can bring great enlightenment.

It is in Meghan’s restless nature to take the path less travelled, even if there is nothing wrong with the path others are travelling on. This is why she left England, challenged the monarchy and took Harry with her.

THE ANCIENT ART OF NUMEROLOGY EXPLAINED

The ancient art of numerology operates on a scale of 1 to 9. These are the building block numbers of numerology.

If numbers go higher than 9 then you add them up until they make a single digit.

So, the birth number (your essence or what you need to learn) is your day of birth, so if you are born on April 7 your birth number is a 7. If you are born on April 17, your birth number is 1 + 7 = 8

Your attitude (how others see you) number is your month number added to your birth number, so in the case of April 7 that’s 4+7= 11 – then you add 1+1 which gives an attitude number of 2.

The key to fulfilment is to find harmony between birth number and attitude number, so neither overshadows the other.

With her sun burning bright in fiery Leo, she belongs in the spotlight and is blessed with charisma.

However, although her birth day is a solid, dependable 4, her attitude number (worked out by taking the number of the month she was born – 8 – and combining it with the day – 4 – then adding the two numbers that make up the answer together; so 8 + 4 = 12 then 1+2 = 3) is a lively but sometimes superficial and flighty number 3.

Her motivation is not money and fame. Yes, she feels she deserves both of those – as Leos are born confident and self-absorbed, like the sun that rules them they believe the world revolves around them– but it goes much deeper than that.

Meghan’s motivation is to feel extraordinary. She believes that the only way to do that is to reject the mundane, challenge the status quo and to answer to no one but herself. Her desire to break the mould and rise above the crowd in an autonomous ‘I answer to no one’ way explains the paradox of her attracting attention because of her rebellious actions and behaviour, but at the same time wanting privacy.

The way forward for Meghan is to understand that the extraordinary can be found in simple things too; in the ordinary, the mundane, in tradition and in service to others.

Finding inner peace in the everyday and considering others can then become her new high.

The arrival of Archie and her new baby girl may well push her in that direction as children need unconditional love but also stability and routine to thrive.

Prince Harry, 15 September: The Birthday of the Specialist

September is a month associated with physicality and careers that require specialisation in some athletic, creative or technical way.

Those born on this day have a touchingly pure, innocent and trusting quality – but although they come across as earthy and exuberant, they can also be secretive.

Ambitious and hard-working, they want to give the best of themselves to everyone and everything all the time – but this can lead to burn out.

Their life lesson is to not just find the right career to specialise in and the right people to trust, but to understand that appearance, money and status can’t buy security, love or happiness. Harry will likely always remain an enigma but he will find fulfilment through learning new skills and excelling in them.

His love for the Royal Family and his brother is deep and enduring but he also needs to make his own mark, be heard, and his role as the ‘spare’ prince likely caused frustration and angry outbursts. In the Army he would have felt more relevant.

His birth and attitude number are both 6, so with Harry there are no airs and graces, what you see is utterly authentic and it’s why the nation cried with him when he spoke about the death of his mother and the depression that followed. Six is the number of compassion, but also sensitivity.

Things will heal in time with his brother and father, as Harry’s compassion and need for resolution will find a way to break through any ice. The spotlight is not his natural home, and fame not his goal, but if it serves a positive purpose, he will do his best to enjoy whatever life offers him.

People born on this day urgently need to find work they believe in or an area to specialise in. His attraction to Meghan lies in his need to lose himself in someone – but she was also the catalyst for his deep-seated need to break free from restriction and do, be and say more.

Right now, he will be confiding and trusting blindly in her. She is his everything. Until Harry finds meaningful work his marriage to Meghan and the drama it has ignited will fill the void and give him direction.

In some ways this intense relationship is helping him understand the life lesson of this birthday, which is that nobody on their deathbed says they wished they had spent more time at the office.

However, finding meaningful work as long as it doesn’t become an obsession, is still crucial for his personal growth. When he eventually finds his calling and needs to pull away to forge his own identity, it will be a serious testing point as Meghan expects her prince to be utterly devoted and attentive, to centre his life around her.

Kate Middleton, 9 January: The Birthday of the Striver

Kate is more mature than Will, Harry and Meghan and leads with her head rather than her heart, says Theresa

Kate is more mature than Will, Harry and Meghan and leads with her head rather than her heart, says Theresa

January is a month associated with aspirations, but ones that are realistic rather than fanciful.

People born on this day are energetic, dedicated and want to rise to the top, often doing whatever it takes to get and stay there. They can appear fragile but actually have tremendous resilience and the ability to bounce back from any setback.

Their life lesson is to not let their ambition consume them and to learn to switch off and relax, take themselves a little less seriously. When they can do that their destiny is to show others that going the extra mile and choosing to do the right thing really can make a difference.

Kate is more mature than Will, Harry and Meghan and leads with her head rather than her heart. She is capable of enormous sacrifice for those she loves but she also knows how to manage her emotions and will never wear her heart on her sleeve.

Her birth number 9 is humanitarian and this gives her the desire to respect tradition and serve others and the ability to see the bigger picture. Her attitude number is 1, which underlines her determined focus and commitment. There is no inner tension here.

She will be troubled by Meghan’s recent accusations but will rise above that as she does everything else in her life. It is certainly possible she made an observation which, in her mind, was a helpful not a hurtful one, and this made Meghan cry. Realising her mistake, she had the maturity, humility and good grace to apologise.

If Meghan can calm down emotionally, and if Kate can take herself a little less seriously, there is hope for these two ambitious ladies to reconcile, but their personalities are too different for them ever to be really close.

Prince William, 21 June: The Birthday of Delighted Awe

William's birth number is this sociable and outgoing 3, so he misses his brother's sense of fun deeply, and his attitude number is the influential, 'others before self' 9. That number combination certainly bodes well for his eventual role as King

June is a month associated with the caring professions. People born on the 21st tend to approach each day with delighted awe. Born on the longest and most magical day of the year they are drawn to art, music, variety, travel, education and humanitarian work.

They do need to avoid throwing themselves into their work too deeply and losing a sense of emotional perspective and boundaries in their relationships. Their life lesson is not to become dependent on others or institutions for a sense of identity and to understand that happiness comes from within.

Given his sensitive, empathetic personality William will feel responsible for Harry’s behaviour as the two brothers were close. Like his father he is likely to brood and take a while to process it all, but he is also compassionate and will reach out to Harry and Meghan in his own time.

His birth number is this sociable and outgoing 3, so he misses his brother’s sense of fun deeply, and his attitude number is the influential, ‘others before self’ 9. That number combination certainly bodes well for his eventual role as King.

Meghan is never going to be his favourite person, but he will be a cautious yet polite brother-in-law.

Prince Charles, 14 November: The Birthday of the Guide

Relationships are intense for Charles and it takes time for him to trust anyone. Loyalty matters greatly to him and he will hold onto grudges

Relationships are intense for Charles and it takes time for him to trust anyone. Loyalty matters greatly to him and he will hold onto grudges

November is a month associated with reflection and the desire for knowledge. People born on this day often appear earnest and filled with conviction. They love to mentor or guide others and are happiest when doing so.

They can sometimes be irritable, self-sabotaging and judgemental but really do have a genuine desire to serve the greater good. Their life lesson is to avoid unnecessary meddling and to understand that sometimes the best way to help others is to let them learn from their own mistakes.

Relationships are intense for Charles and it takes time for him to trust anyone. Loyalty matters greatly to him and he will hold onto grudges.

His birth number is 5, a number associated with curiosity and communication. This man loves intelligent conversation and debate, especially as his attitude number is 7, linked to speculation and philosophy.

There is emotional stubbornness here too, so it will take him a while to get over Harry and Meghan. Empathy is a skill that Charles has in spades, but only for causes and people he believes in or people who mirror his world view or opinions.

Charles will eventually understand that he shouldn’t try to control Harry and will return to his natural role as mentor and loving guide to his son and grandchildren.

The Queen, 21 April: The Birthday of Graciousness

The Queen has learned to manage her emotions and present a neutral image but the situation with Harry and Meghan will certainly trouble her

The Queen has learned to manage her emotions and present a neutral image but the situation with Harry and Meghan will certainly trouble her

April is the month associated with green shoots and optimism. People born on this day impress others with their majestic and self-sufficient poise. They have fierce self-discipline and a powerful sense of duty.

They are not prone to gushing displays of emotions and their true motivation is to always give their very best.

Their life lesson is to learn how to accept help and support from others and to ease up on their perfectionism. Sometimes good enough is OK.

The Queen has learned to manage her emotions and present a neutral image but the situation with Harry and Meghan will certainly trouble her.

She is intelligent enough to sense that the self-sacrifice that comes naturally to her simply isn’t feasible in the world we live in today and that the monarchy is changing dramatically.

Her birth number is a friendly 3, but her attitude number or how others see her is the more reflective and detached 7, meaning that only loved ones get to glimpse that warmer side of her.

However, given her innate self-sufficiency even those close to her rarely get to know what her true feelings are. Over the decades the Queen has become the living and positive embodiment of the grace and duty potential strongly associated with this birthday.
