‘I’m about a week away from learning how to fire juggle’: Comedian Wil Anderson is stuck in lockdown without TV or internet after moving to his new $1.9million Byron Bay home just as COVID-19 restrictions started

Wil Anderson recently purchased a $1.9million four-bedroom home on four hectares on land at Goonengerry near Byron Bay.

The stunning period property looks out on a vista of farm and hinterland, featuring an incredibly spacious pool and gorgeous balcony area to take in the views.

And the comedian, 46, will be spending plenty of time using the property’s facilities, since he moved just as the COVID-19 lockdown came into place, forcing him to go without internet or television access.

Bad timing: Gruen host Wil Anderson is stuck in lockdown without TV or internet after moving to his new $1.9million Byron Bay home just as coronavirus restrictions started

The Gruen host revealed the unexpected challenges he and his girlfriend-of-18-years Amy Williamson, faced while moving from Victoria to New South Wales on Triple M Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast, which he used to co-host.

‘We were meant to be moving house at the end of the [Melbourne] Comedy Festival but that got moved forward,’ Wil told hosts Eddie McGuire and Luke Darcy.

He added: ‘[So] we had to do it during isolation.’

Wil revealed the lockdown prevented them from getting any help with the move, which led to him doing monotonous tasks like spending the entire day cleaning the barbecue.

He’s had no TV or internet access since the move.

‘I think I’m about a week away from learning how to fire juggle,’ Will joked.

The 1900s home was originally listed through an agent, but ended up selling independently, according to the Daily Telegraph.

It retains many original period features, including leadlight windows, a large farmhouse kitchen and a stunning wraparound veranda, which can be accessed from the master bedroom.

The interior has been easily modernised with a lick of white paint, transforming the space to appear even larger and providing more light. Wooden floorboards extend throughout the home.
