Zack Snyder’s long overdue cut of Justice League is coming to HBO Max in 2021

Justice League fans are finally getting a version of the film created by original director Zack Snyder.

DC junkies have been pining for the ‘Snyder cut’ of the 2017 movie ever since he had to step aside from the film during post-production, leaving the Joss Whedon to tie up the loose ends.

The filmmaker announced he would be teaming up with HBO Max to produce his vision of the superhero film during a Wednesday Q&A after an online screening of his Superman feature Man Of Steel.

Long time coming: The Zack Snder version of Justice League will be coming to HBO Max in 2021

Though Snyder completed a majority of the film, he had to step aside due to a family tragedy.

Warner Bros. enlisted Avengers talent Joss Whedon to finish the film, but the blend of his and Snyder’s styles left fans unsatisfied.

The movie was also a box-office dud by superhero standards, losing the studio $60million.

Ever since its 2017 release fans have been campaigning to see Snyder’s vision realized, largely by using the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on Twitter.
