He welcomed his first child in September with his longtime partner Gigi Hadid.
But Zayn Malik took some time to himself on Tuesday afternoon as he took care of errands around New York City.
The 28-year-old former One Direction singer was joined by a group of friends while out and about after spending time earlier in the day with Gigi and their baby daughter Khai.

Zayn was dressed in a sporty and comfortable ensemble featuring a black Adidas zip-up hoodie with the brand’s iconic yellow stripes running down his sleeves.
He mixed the top with black Nike sweatpants, along with matching black trainers.
He seemed to settle the question of brand loyalty with his black Nike ski cap.
The tattooed pop star was spotted chatting with his pals after stopping at a store while he smoked a cigarette.
He showed off the same close-cropped dark beard that he has primarily sported in recent years.

Although he was flying solo later in the day, Zayn had been partnered up with his love Gigi earlier on Tuesday for a fun trip with their daughter to the New York Aquarium, which is located on Coney Island in Brooklyn.
Baby Khai got plenty of culture the day before, when Gigi pushed her stroller around the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her father Mohamed Hadid.
Gigi snapped plenty of photos of the art, plus a few sweet images of Khai bonding with her grandfather that she posted to her Instagram Stories.
In one photo, the real estate developer holding his granddaughter’s tiny hand in his own while showing off her jeweled bracelet with her name.

Last month, Zayn opened up about being a first-time father during an interview on iHeartRadio’s Valentine in the Morning.
‘Honestly, it’s amazing,’ he said, calling his daughter, ‘an amazing baby.’
The Pillowtalk singer added that ‘it’s been really easy for me and Gig to kind of just ease into it. She’s made it really easy for us, she sleeps really well and she loves her milk. It’s just feeding and changing diapers at the moment. It’s wicked, I’m enjoying it for sure.’
He also admitted that he hadn’t seen himself as a father before becoming one.
‘I didn’t expect to be quite as into it to be honest with you. I’m always into myself just doing my own thing of just writing, recording, making music, and I was just very focused on my career. I had time for my relationship too, but it was still solely about me.
‘The fact that [Khai] has been so easy to kind of just adjust to, it’s been surprising to me because I just love spending my days with her, hanging out with her, and just doing really relaxing and chill stuff with her. I’m watching kids shows with her on TV and on Netflix, learning nursery rhymes, rolling around with her, and just singing to her. It’s a really different pace of life, but it’s been really easy to adjust and that’s the most surprising,’ he explained.
He even said he likes to sing made-up melodies to his baby daughter while letting her add her own sound effects to the mix.

Gigi and Zayn have been dating since 2015, though they were rumored to have broken up briefly in late 2016, and they officially broke up in March 2018.
Yet the two were seen together only a month later and resuscitated the relationship later in 2018.
The two reportedly broke up again in January 2019, but after hints of a reunion (including a cooking post in which Gigi made a recipe from Zayn’s mother) the two confirmed their romance was in good health again in January 2020.
The lovebirds announced just two months later that they were expecting their first child together.
Gigi made her return to the runway in March at the Versace show for Milan Fashion Week, and she has been continuing to get back into the swing of modeling in recent weeks.
