Zendaya is one fine eighties lady in vintage YSL at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards

Euphoria producer-star Zendaya was one of five honorees dazzling the 14th Annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Emmy winner took the plunge in 1982 Yves Saint Laurent haute couture from the personal archive of her ‘image architect’ Law Roach.

The vintage blue-silk puff-sleeved blazer and black maxi-skirt were originally owned by trailblazing Ebony Fashion Fair founder Eunice W. Johnson.

Before the ceremony, the former Disney Channel star shared a touching moment on the red carpet with her Euphoria castmate Storm Reid.

‘Thank you for the constant, like I say all the time, inspiration. There’s lots of people that came into my life… I’m going to cry,’ the 17-year-old pre-show presenter said tearing up.

‘There’s lots of people that came into my life when [A Wrinkle in Time] came out and they were like, “Oh yeah, I’m here to support you.” But you were one of those people that stuck to that. So, for that, thank you.’

Zendaya carefully wiped away Storm’s tears and replied: ‘You’re my baby sister, I’m telling you. We met, our first time, in like a Ben & Jerry’s when she was so tiny. And then here we are, we’re real life sisters, I believe that, and TV sisters.
