Apple engineers were working on Tuesday night to repair widespread outages across their systems, affecting iCloud, the App Store and Apple TV, among other services.

It was not clear what was causing the disruption, first reported around 8pm EST on Tuesday.

Apple’s dashboard, showing the status of their services, was alight with red warning signs, indicating outages.

Apple TV, Apple Arcade, Apple Books, Apple TV, iCloud and iTunes were just some of the services affected.

On the site, Apple said: ‘Users are experiencing a problem with this service. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.’

Some by Tuesday evening had already been repaired – two Apple Cash apps – and others were unaffected, such as Siri, Apple Maps and iMessage.

Apple is not the only company to experience services outages lately.

Many Microsoft services were affected by a multi-hour outage on Monday, and there was a multi-state 911 outage on Monday as well.
