Casey Affleck plays street football with son Atticus, 12

They have been staying home amid the state-wide order to Shelter At Home.

But following official advice that outdoor exercise is a permitted activity, Casey Affleck emerged for a game of street football with son Atticus, 12, on Wednesday.

The pair tossed a ball around outside their Los Angeles home while taking a stroll together on Wednesday.

Father and son walked side by side, throwing the American football between them, on their sunny outing.

Oscar winner Casey, 44, the younger brother of actor Ben, also has a 15-year-old son, Indiana, with ex-wife Summer Phoenix, the sister of this year’s Best Actor winner Joaquin Phoenix. 

While Hollywood has all but shut down during the current health crisis, Affleck has two films in post-production.

He stars in the upcoming thriller Every Breath You Take and also the mid-19th century American East Coast frontier drama The World To Come.

The brother of Ben Affleck keeps a relatively low public profile, particularly since he’s been dogged by allegations of sexual misconduct for nearly a decade.

In 2010, two former female coworkers sued Casey for sexual harassment and emotional distress, among other accusations.

He maintained his innocence and settled the lawsuits at the time but the allegations resurfaced around the time of his 2017 Oscar win for Manchester By the Sea.

Affleck subsequently backed out of presenting at the Academy Awards the following year.

Despite the accusations and the ‘noise’ surrounding them (which is how he seemingly referred to them during an acceptance speech at the Golden Globes) Casey has maintained a steady stream of work.

He recently wrote, directed and starred in the 2019 drama Light of My Life. Earlier this month his latest film The Friend premiered co-starring Jason Segel and Dakota Johnson.
