Colton Underwood posted a selfie to his Instagram account on Sunday afternoon.

The former Bachelor lead appeared to be enjoying his day as he flashed a peace sign and showed off his pearly whites to his 2 million followers.

The 29-year-old reality television personality’s post comes not long after he came out about his sexuality and began filming on an upcoming docuseries, which will reportedly debut on Netflix.

Underwood was dressed in a white t-shirt worn underneath a black button-up jacket in his smiling selfie.

The former professional football player wrote a quick message in the post’s caption that simply read: ‘happy Sunday.’

Last week, the former Bachelorette contestant appeared on Good Morning America and sat down for a conversation with Robin Roberts, where he revealed the truth about his sexuality.

Underwood did not mince words about his feelings and noted that, although he had accepted himself, he was still coming to grips about being open with other people.

‘I’m gay, and I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it…it’s been a journey for sure,’ he said.

The reality television personality went on to note that although he was still dealing with his feelings, his outlook on life was notably positive.

‘I’m emotional, but I’m emotional in such a good, happy, positive way. I’m like, the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life, and that means the world to me,’ the athlete added.

Underwood then spoke about his relationship with his former girlfriend and Bachelor castmate Cassie Randolph, with whom he underwent a tumultuous breakup in May of last year.

‘It’s hard for me to articulate exactly what my emotions were in going through that relationship with her was because I obviously had an internal…fight going on,’ he noted.

The athlete went on to apologize to his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend for his actions,  and acknowledged that he was emotionally reckless during their time together.

He stated, ‘I would just say that I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. I’m sorry for any pain and emotional stress I caused…I wish it wouldn’t have happened the way it did.

‘I wish that I would have been courageous enough to fix myself before I broke anybody else, he added.’

Earlier this month, multiple news outlets confirmed that Underwood is working on a docuseries that will air on Netflix in the future.

The upcoming show, according to Variety, will focus on the former Bachelor as he begins to live his life publicly as a gay man.

Although no release date has been given for the project, a source confirmed to the media publication that filming is already underway, and a separate insider noted that his past as an athlete will factor into the series.

Netflix declined to issue a statement regarding Underwood’s forthcoming show.
