Fleur East has announced that her father Malcolm has died and shared an emotional tribute to him.

The former X Factor star, 32, took to Instagram on Friday where she revealed the sad news alongside a string of pictures of her dad.

In a moving statement, Fleur praised her father for ‘cheering me on till the end’, adding that she would continue to ‘make you proud.’

The Sax hitmaker wrote: ‘Daddy East, Max, the ultimate G!

‘What a man you were! So young at heart, always living in the moment! Swagger in abundance and such an unforgettable presence. Loved by so many! You were always my biggest fan! Cheering me on until the end.’

She continued: ‘You taught me and Keshia to be confident and to always chase our dreams. I will forever continue to make you proud. I’m so happy you saw us achieve so much.
